Waterways Ireland was awarded the Green Public Sector Organisation of the year at the recent Green Awards 2020.
The Awards, which were launched in 2008, recognise the extraordinary contribution and commitment towards growing a greener future and is a leading platform for sustainability intelligence, leadership and innovation in best green practice in Ireland.
Waterways Ireland illustrated their commitment to environmental and sustainability best practice across areas such as water resource management, biodiversity, education, community engagement, procurement, waste management and energy efficiency.
The winners were revealed at the twelfth annual Green Awards ceremony on Tuesday, February 25th, at The Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin.
